| Who runs this site | Currently it is run by Scott Penrose and hosted on Google Apps. Longer term it is hoped that the site will be run by the French Island community, either part of one of the existing groups or as a new group. | | Can I have an email address | Currently you can't have an email address directly at the site, but you can have an alias. This will allow you to have an email address @frenchisland.org but will forward the actual content to your existing address. | | Site purpose - the public | The FICA web site provides excellent information, but is lacking maps, best camping sites, best bike tours, walking tours, advertising (business and realestate) etc. This site may be able to help. | | Site purpose - residents | Residents need a way to communicate. Currently lists of people are all managed by hand. Phone records by one person, email lists for news by another, yet another person for magazine etc. This site can provide a protected environment for private information too such as phone numbers. |
